Violin Instructor

Armen Mangasaryan embarked on his musical journey at the P.I. Tchaikovsky School of Music for Gifted Children in Yerevan, Armenia, where he honed his exceptional talents and graduated in 1980. He furthered his studies at the Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas, studying under Professors Villi Mokatsyan and others, culminating in a Master of Music degree and a qualification as a Soloist of Orchestra in 1985.

In 1981, Armen began his professional career as the first violinist in the conservatory’s opera studio orchestra, a position he held until 1990. Concurrently, from 1985 to 1987, he served as a first violinist with the National Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, showcasing his remarkable proficiency and leadership.

Armen’s career took a significant turn in 1990 when he joined the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. There, he collaborated with distinguished conductors such as Loris Tjknavorian, Mikayel Avetisyan, Eduard Topchian, Jan Robertson, and Gorge Pahlevanian. His time with the orchestra included successful performances across the globe, including in the USA, Canada, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Greece, Spain, and Russia.

In June of 2001, Armen relocated to Los Angeles, where he quickly became an integral part of the local symphonic community. He has served as concertmaster for several orchestras, including the Redlands Symphony, New Valley Symphony, Huntington Beach Symphony, and LAPC Orchestra. His work in Los Angeles has been marked by numerous solo performances and recordings, further establishing his reputation as a versatile and skilled violinist.

Since August 2001, Armen has been a valued faculty member at the International School of Music, where he imparts his vast knowledge and passion for music to students. His extensive experience as a performer and educator makes him a pivotal figure in nurturing the next generation of musicians.
